Why selecting your model first matters
Although both builds run Rockbox, the Innioasis Y1 and Y2 have different hardware and partition layouts. Never flash a Y1 ROM on a Y2 or a Y2 ROM on a Y1.
Innioasis Updater CE prevents mismatches by filtering available software as soon as you choose Y1 or Y2 in Device Model. Updater CE always downloads the selected package directly from the community firmware developer's release (the developers are solely responsible for listing their releases in Updater CE).
Which guide do you need?
- Innioasis Y1 โ Go to the Rockbox-Y1 hub. Choose Type A (for players that shipped with 2.0.0+) or Type B (for older units), then pick a 240p or 360p build.
- Innioasis Y2 โ Go to the Rockbox-Y2 hub. Select Y2 in Updater CE and pick the latest Y2 release.
What both ports share
Both bring Rockbox's tag-based music database, gapless playback, equalizer, custom themes, and 100% offline listening to your player. Read Why Rockbox to see what Rockbox adds over factory software.
