Users having issues with Rockbox for Y2.
Rockbox 360p themes not working and music not reading from MicroSD.
Rockbox for Y2 has two open problems reported by the community:
- 360p themes do not apply. The player keeps showing the stock 360p artwork.
- Music on a MicroSD card is not listed after a Rockbox install.
If you rely on a MicroSD library, stay on Original Software until these are fixed.
Restoring the original firmware takes one run of Updater CE. Music on your MicroSD card is left alone, but music saved to the Y2's internal storage is erased: on Y2 the Keep Data option in Updater CE 2.5.1 only carries data across between firmwares that are cross-compatible, and moving to Original Software is not one of those cases.
