Y2Linux 1.0 Beta 2: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi fixes, and the audio output now follows your headphones. Linux 6.18 and the native Reborn music player for the Innioasis Y2.
Already running Y2Linux
Settings → About & Updates → Check for Updates → Download Update → Restart and Install.
What's new
- Automatic audio output: Bluetooth headphones take over from the headphone jack as soon as they connect, and music keeps playing on them. When they disconnect, playback pauses and the jack is used again. If you pick the jack by hand, that choice sticks until the headphones reconnect.
- Bluetooth reconnect: if your headphones were not around when the player woke up, auto-reconnect used to give up for the rest of the session. It now treats them as simply not there, and they can connect when you take them out.
- Faster, more reliable radio start: a race in the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi chip transport sometimes lost a reply from the chip, costing about 4 seconds and a restart of the radio chip. Fixed.
- Shorter Bluetooth search for absent headphones (5 s), so Wi-Fi isn't held up after a wake.
- Wi-Fi passwords containing
\or"now work. - Less background work while on Wi-Fi (the internet check runs every 5 minutes instead of every 30 seconds); the player shows up as a music player in Bluetooth lists.
Install (from stock)
You need SP Flash Tool v5.2032, a USB cable, Y2Linux-1.0.0-beta.2-first-install.zip below and the Innioasis Y2 firmware package v3.2.0 from Innioasis (also your way back to stock).
- Unpack both.
- SP Flash Tool → Download Only → load
MT6582_Android_scatter.txtfrom the Y2Linux zip. Exactly BOOTIMG, RECOVERY, ANDROID and USRDATA are ticked. - Click Download and connect the switched-off Y2; wait for the green tick.
- Unplug and press Power: Y2Linux and Reborn start, music works.
- Connect the Y2 to the computer and copy (don't move)
system.imgfrom the Innioasis package onto the Firmware drive. The player takes the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth firmware from it and turns the radios on.

Known issues (beta)
- Battery life in sleep is not yet stock-like (about 9 mA vs stock 1.3 mA).
- Rarely a slow display start after a restart (the picture starts anyway); if the panel stays dark, hold Power for 10 s.
- The player cannot detect wired headphones yet: "jack" simply means "no Bluetooth headphones connected".
- USB after a wake from deep sleep not yet confirmed over many wakes; AAC with AirPods is negotiated but not yet confirmed by listening.
- The Beta 2 fixes were built and checked on the computer; their device check follows the first over-the-air installs.
- Tested on one hardware revision and one player. A kernel that hangs before its rescue system can only be fixed with SP Flash Tool.
