Why Solar for your Innioasis

Model availability

Which Innioasis models run it?

Y1 and Y2 builds are separate, so grab the one made for your player in Software Downloads — never swap one for the other.

Why people pick it

The player connects to the internet.

• Stream and download from Deezer — Reach searches, streams, and downloads from Deezer using your own account — MP3 on free accounts, FLAC with Premium.
• Soulseek search — Search peer libraries on Soulseek, the long-running file-sharing network, and grab tracks directly.
• Podcast downloads — Subscribe, browse, and download episodes straight to the device over Wi-Fi.
• A stem player — Split songs into vocals, drums, bass, and melody with Lalal.ai stem separation, then mash up one to three tracks with the scroll wheel.
• Rockbox on the same ROM — Solar and Rockbox-Y1 ride together — switch launchers from Settings without reflashing or rebooting.
• YouTube playback — The network-first route includes YouTube playback, turning the player into more of a pocket media machine.

Community

What the community says

Solar is for anyone who looked at their player and asked why the Wi-Fi does nothing. It is the route most discussed on r/innioasis when the talk turns to streaming and downloads.

The project’s own releases describe Solar as a work-in-progress interface, and the community treats it that way: exciting when it clicks, with setup steps (like connecting your Deezer account) that reward a patient reader.

Things to know first

• Solar is a work-in-progress interface — releases iterate quickly and rough edges are expected
• Deezer needs your own account’s arl cookie, set up from a PC on the same Wi-Fi; treat the arl like a password
• FLAC quality needs a Deezer Premium account; free accounts use MP3
• Streaming and downloads need a Wi-Fi network — this is not an offline-first software
• If something fails, restoring Original Software for your model is the way back
